Structural Visit Checklist Items2

The routine Structural visit (to be scheduled >one time per year) includes checking those items which were found to be deficient in the initial MyHandyHomeHelp.com Structural Maintenance Plan Inspection, as well as those the customer has current need or questions about. After confirming the items in need, the MyHandyHomeHelp.com Helper will be available to make repair(s) and/or adjustment(s)1 per the following checklist schedule and the Work Order in effect during the visit.

  • Perimeter grading and drainage
    • confirm grade levels around the perimeter of the structure
    • confirm condition of the gutter and downspout systems.
  • Roof covering material*
    • confirm the condition of roof covering materials

*Note: Roof surface inspection subject to limitations of personnel safety and accessibility.

  • Interior walls, ceilings, floors, and doors
    • confirm the condition of wall/ceiling surfaces
    • confirm the condition of doors and hardware
    • fire separation between the garage and the living space
  • Exterior walls, doors, and windows
    • confirm the condition of missing or damaged window screens
    • confirm the condition of
      • weather stripping materials
      • claddings
      • water resistant materials/coatings
      • flashing details and terminations
    • confirm the condition of performance of exterior doors, garage doors and hardware
    • confirm the condition and performance of windows and components

1Work performed by MyHandyHomeHelp.com personnel is provided according to the Terms and Conditions of the MyHandyHomeHelp.com Service Agreement and the specific Work Order in place for services. The Customer is responsible to provide proprietary instruction(s) and/or tools as necessary to complete required Work.
