    • fire separation between the garage and the living space
  • Exterior walls, doors, and windows
    • evidence of water penetration
    • emergency escape and rescue openings in sleeping rooms and fall protection at windows that are located less than 24 inches from the finished floor and greater than 72 inches from the finished grade
    • attached garage doorway that is not equipped with self-closing or automatic closing devices
    • fire rated door between the residence and an attached garage
    • missing or damaged window screens
    • deficiencies in fenestration:
      • weather stripping materials
      • claddings
      • water resistant materials/coatings
      • flashing details and terminations
    • performance of exterior doors, garage doors and hardware
    • condition and performance of windows and components

    • chimney structure, termination, coping, crown, caps, and spark arrestor
  • Porches, Balconies, Decks, and Carports
    • abutting porches, decks, and balconies that are used for ingress and egress
    • deficiencies in accessible components
